Ceremonial Cacao

I have the honour to be sharing the Mayan ancestral medicine of cacao in the UK, with the blessing of the farmers and keepers of this beautiful plant, and I would like to share a little about its significance and impact, and the transformative effect on my life.

The Source

This cacao comes from a women's collective called Finca Nueva Amanecer (Farm of the New Dawn), located in San Antonio Suchitepequez, Guatemala. The project is run by Odilia, and she is teaching and passing on the tradition to her daughter Evaline. As the Food of the Gods, cacao is a sacred plant to the Mayan people, and a revered ancestral medicine. They have given their blessing for this cacao to be shared around the world, as they feel that the rest of the planet desperately needs this powerful ally.

Heart Medicine

This medicine is an ally for depression, mood swings, gut issues, low immunity, poor circulation, poor cognitive function and much more. Mama cacao is a heart medicine who opens us up to feel deeply and fully and be supported through our emotions and processes by her loving embrace. She contains theobromine (stimulates blood flow to heart and brain), phenylethlamine (love chemical), anandamine (bliss molecule), antioxidants, magnesium, iron, zinc, potassium, selenium and many other nutrients.

Why I am sharing

For many years now, cacao has been one of the most supportive and healing medicines that I've encountered on my path. She has held me through countless moments, allowed me to feel deeply, release stored trauma and continue in my ever-evolving connection to Self and Source. I hope to share some of this magic with others to enable many to share in these experiences. I also use cacao as an ally in individual and group ceremonies, to bring us into the heart, open our voices and bring healing. Please reach out to me if you are curious to know more about this.
